SASH

COVID-19 testing under the Swab And Send Home (SASH) programme is available at Cityhealth Clinic & Surgery, a Public Health Preparedness Clinic (PHPC).  If you are assessed to have symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 infection, your primary care doctor (GP) can perform a swab test on you at the clinic if it is participating in SASH.  Otherwise, you will be referred to a PHPC clinic where SASH is available.

Requests and referrals for COIVD-19 testing for asymptomatic individuals (such as the worried well, for immigration clearance, employer’s request etc) are currently not permitted under the SASH programme.

I was referred by another clinic to be swabbed at CityHealth Clinic & Surgery, do I need to pay for the consultation and swab test?

You should present yourself to CityHealth Clinic & Surgery SASH PHPC early after getting the referral from the referring GP clinic.  If you present yourself within 48 hours with a completed referral form, you do not need to pay for the consultation and swab at the receiving SASH PHPC.

However, if you present to the SASH PHPC after 48 hours from your visit at the first GP clinic, or if you do not bring along a completed referral form provided by the first referring GP, you will need to be reviewed by the SASH PHPC clinic again.  In such cases, you will be charged as per a regular Flu Subsidy Scheme (FSS) / Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) acute visit, if you are Singaporean / Permanent Resident or eligible Foreign Worker.  If you are not eligible for FSS or CHAS, the consultation fee charged by the SASH PHPC applies.

You can also consult for other non-Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) conditions at this visit, however you will be charged for consultation and medication separately.

When will I be informed of the swab results?

You will be informed of your swab results usually within 24 to 48 hours.
